sunday goods in tempe is a ground-up retail building for the arizona cannabis brand, its second location after phoenix. the brief pushed against the typical dispensary model: less transaction counter, more hospitality. the plan takes its cues from resort lobbies rather than retail floors.

a central lobby organizes the building. guests arrive to a check-in desk and refreshment area rather than a sales queue, and circulation moves them from entry to consultation in a deliberate sequence, with the retail floor held as the destination rather than the front door. a customer drive-thru is folded into the plan without letting it drive the architecture.
the project ran from rezoning through construction as a single design-build effort, which kept the interior intent intact from the first plan sketch to the finished space.
